Pet Peeve for the Day™: taking someone to a pizza place you consider notable for intricate and sublime flavors, and first they order pepperoni and sausage (basically spiced fat and more spiced fat on top of shredded, molten fat), then when it arrives proceed to angrily wring it out while complaining how greasy it is and berate you for having dreadful taste in pizza joints.

Last time I had sausage pizza that was dry was in middle school.

The most frightening thing ever (while being completely sublime) is a true Chicago-style sausage pizza. It's got one pancake of patty sausage, barely 1/8" thick that almost reaches the sidewalls of the pizza. I've never found a pizza joint that does one right out here, though.

On the other hand, if you like New York style pizza, SliceOfNY on Stevens Creek between JJ's House of Blues and Stevens Creek Surplus is the best in the area. Emigree New Yorkers, notorious for ripping pizza joints everywhere, either rave, or rave while complaining "but it's not the right kind of New York pizza!"

Hrrr, greasy pizza. It's not good pizza till you need to blot it with a napkin before scarfing down.

I've a special weakness for veggie pizza with feta and black olives on it, or BBQ chicken. On the other hand, I consider Hawaiian to be a complete travesty. Pineapple, yes. But cooked mushy pineapple with cheese and ham?? Demon, be gone! D:

well it depends, some companies do abuse of oil ( in spray ) and in liquid on their pizzas, I mean, i've seen some pizzas literally dripping like a sea of oil.... ( similar to some KFC restaurants do abuse of oil, and others do the chicken very well and dry )

Goddess Above! I really miss the old "Godfather's Pizza" from the late '70's. My parents would take us there and we'd order a large pepperoni pizza with extra sauce and cheese, and when it got to the table, there were literally pools of grease on top of the cheese! Damn...you can't find pizza that good anymore...
